Reflection's day with Leila Nisula and Ritta Metsanen 23.05.2014
Today has finished "Multicultural and International week" with Leila Nisula and Ritta Metsanen. We discussed about how we can use this knowledge in our own experience. Many of us were agree that all of methods we can use after returning in kazakhstan. For me was interesting information about "Cultural shock" because my students in future going to continue their study abroad and probably this information will be useful for them. In addition, we have heard interesting information about International skills, when we were in CIMO (Centre for International Mobility) in Helsinki 22.05.2014. I recognised many competencies which needed our teachers. This information will be helpful for administration of my school.

Lessons with Leila Nisula and Ritta Metsanen (21.05.2014)
Today we have discussed the theme about Cultural
shock. I think this topic was interesting for everybody because we formerly
felt and overcame Cultural shock, when arrived in Hameenlinna. I was liked
group work, when we tried to elaborate guidance for our students, who in future

visited Tampere Adult Education Centre in Tampere city. We familiarized with
Program of Adult Education for immigrants, who going to live in Finland. his
Centre is Private educational institution, which funded by government or
companies. Primarily, this educational institution solves problem of providing
immigrants a workplace. The program includes as well as online-learning.

The last day in Kauriala Upper Secondary school (15.05.2014)
Today was the last day in Kauriala Upper Secondary school. It was a little sad, feeling that in the future I will never see Finnish students and Finnish school. I asked students and Soile Varis (history teacher), take a photo with me, they gladly agreed. Soile conducted a lesson where used tablets on a history lesson of the European Union. As before, the Grade 12 C, have shown their high level of organization and motivation to the lesson. After the lesson, when I thanked them in Finnish (kiitos), Juhani Jaaskelainen (student,) told me: "I'm expressed that you said this word in Finnish". Well, that's the end of my observation of lessons and learning process at the Kauriala Upper Secondary school. Thank Soile, thanks to students, when I'll return to Kazakhstan I will remember for a long time motivated to learn, calm, self-oriented and self-confident Finnish students. Good luck to you!!!

My thoughts about Finnish experience.
Since 5th of may till 9th of May 2014 we have considered one of the topic, which reluctant discussed in Kazakhstan, because has many problems with implementing into education system of Kazakhstan. This topic called inclusive education or equal access to qualitative education of special needs students. This reason was one of the main interest to this topic for us. We were surprised, when have seen how organized inclusive education for special needs students in Kiipula (Hameenlinna, Finland). Finnish education else time proved the principle of equality. During the week we have learnt different kind of approaches and methods to teach special needs students. We grateful for this to Simo Uusinoka and Irmeli Lignell.
At the begining of this week we have started to learn the topic about talented students. I think the both topic connected with each other. If we approximately know about approaches to teaching special needs students, today we could compare two types of teaching. I'm interested the question: what kind of methods we can use to define talented student? Many of us interested by this theme because we work in our country with gifted students.
We discussed important problems:
-How well the different tests, assessment, evaluation describe the talented student's abilities?
-From the talented students point od view-is integration in a normal class during their studies-a benefit or a disadvantage?
-At what age you recognize the talented student? Is there any special age for that?
-Vocational or general education- Which is the best solution to the student? What kind of options these two educational choices offer to the talented student?
We'll expected that during on this week we can answer on this questions

With Paivi Pukkila till afternoon, we have discussed about "Study counselling methods".
Structure of counselling, which has represented Paivi, caused big interest among us. We had possibility to familiarize with stages of counselling. I think this knowledge will be nesessary in our own career in future. Afternoon, we studied materials about Counselling in higher education in Finland with Tiina Poutanen.She has taught us how can properly organise counselling in higher education. In addition, we received much materials, which we will use at our school, for instance, "Recognise your opportunities" (Workbook for students). Thank you very much to both lecturers!

Today I first time was on lesson of history at Kauriala Upper Secondary School. I have enjoyed this lesson, because history teacher Soile Varis was able to conducts her lesson on high level. During the lesson the teacher have used methods, which promote the developing the ability to critical thinking of students. Materials of lesson closely related with Finnish's life and modern policy of the World. Today I have familiarized with academic course of History of Finland and I was able to see how can participate in learning process Finnish students.In addition, Soile gave me much information about Finnish experience.

I am grateful for the wonderful lessons of Paivi Pukkila. Her lessons were well planned, carefully thought out and lecturer knew the learning goals, which she wanted to achieve with us. During the lessons we knew more information about system of guidance and counselling in educational institutions of Finland. We have understood main content of counselling system and have conducted a few activities in group work. I think knowledge and skills, which we received today will be very useful for our pedagogical experience.

Today we have visited lessons of English teacher Ritta Varkila at Upper Secondary school. During the lesson Ritta has shown different kind of tools of teaching: testing, listening, group work, pair work. The lesson was interesting because students actively have participated in dialogue with their teacher, were performing different tasks and exercises. The teacher closely has interacted with students through dialogical methods.

With Irma Kunnari today we have discussed about "Improving assessment practices". Most of time we have shared experience of assessment and came to next conclusions:
1.Students’ knowledge, skills and abilities need to be tested through a wide range of assessment methods to enhance the learning experience and reward valuable workplace skills such as teamwork and presentations.
2.Teaching staff can diversify their assessment methods by using oral presentations as well as written tests, group as well as individual tasks, and by utilising self and peer assessment to develop students' ability to self-monitor the quality of their work.

My collegues showed interesting models of Integration. Afternoon, Seja has conducted seminar, which called "How make good questions?" This seminar was very important for us, because we be caught short of skills of writing thesis. She helped us in this issue.

Lesson Observation of Maria Niikoski 03.04.2014
1. Today I have visited lesson of Finnish teacher Maria
Niinikoski. The teacher has conducted English lesson in five grades. During the
lesson she has used different kind of methods and tolls. Maria Niinikoski has a
large experience by teaching of languages. It's can see on her lessons. Her
students, attends her lessons with big interesting. The teacher and students
closely interact with each other through different kind of tasks and exercises,
which promote to developing necessary skills and knowledge.
2. The teacher use such methods as Listening,
Reading, Writing, dialogical tools, recitation, written survey, individual
survey. In my own teaching I would use IT technology as Maria Niinikoski,
because she use this technology excellent.
3. Basically she uses handouts, different kind of games,
pictures, crosswords.
4. During the lesson the teacher tries to motivate their
students by praise and encouragement. In addition, she tries to interest
students by interesting tasks and exercises.

Today we have considered issue about "Authentic Learning" and "Scaffolding in education". Our lection called "Some Concepts". We have discussed such terms as "Zone of Proximal Development", "Relevance" in education. Lecturer tried to give us opportunity to find our substance area in Integration with other subjects. In addition, afternoon, we tried to construct (in pair), some example case how we could use as a teacher, a certain computer application, when we are designing our teaching/learning processes pedagogically meaningful way in our subject.

The 27-th of March, my collegues and I, have seen English lessons, which have conducted Maria Niinikoski and Zhanar (Kazakh teacher). Lessons were interesting, Finnish students have recognised much information about Kazakhstan. For example about culture of Kazakhstan, geographical situation, traditions, national games and etc.Students were asking many questions about Kazakhstan. I think such lessons help to two countries to collaborate and to exchange with each other their cultures.

My reflection about the day with Sanna and Aleksi Lahti

Today we were in town, which called Riihimaki. We have visited Upper Secondary school, where we were able to recognise how can use IPad in learning process. Aleksi Lahti (Qualified teacher) has told us about his experience, which includes using IPad in sphere of education. He, in detail and interesting, has explained objects and advantages of using IPads in the education system. We have heard more interesting information about IT technologies. I think this information will be very useful for our teachers and for me.

We have made conclusion the IPad is a tool for an interesting explorative, deep and child centered learning. IPad makes students creativity blossom. During the workshop we were creating own book with assistance of IPad in pairs.

Entrepreneurship Education with Vesa Tuomela

Today was very interesting day with Vesa Tuomela. Seeing as Vesa Tuomela conducts his seminar, I have remembered lessons of my colleagues in Kazakhstan. Modern teachers of our country, prefers to conducts their lessons as Vesa Tuomela, very intensely on high level. Vesa Tuomela is great teacher, because he quality uses different kind of methods and tools, which promote of high results of teaching. During the seminar we have learnt practically, meaning of term "entrepreneurial skills", "entrepreneurship". Today, I strongly agree with claim "Effectiveness of learning is related to the excellence of the teacher".

Lessons Obsrevation of Heikki Hannula "Entrepreneurship education"

Today our study process was continued with Heikki Hannula. We first time have considered new term "Entrepreneurship Education". During the workshop we have learnt about features of entrepreneurship education, measurement tools of entrepreneurial skills of students and teachers. We have tried to create type of entrepreneurial school in our comprehension. At the end of study session, we have understood that at our school we use methods, which related with entrepreneurial school, but never thought that is it called Enterpreneurship Education, and we need to develop our competences to support our students growth for enterpreneurs.
Today our study process was continued with Heikki Hannula. We first time have considered new term "Entrepreneurship Education". During the workshop we have learnt about features of entrepreneurship education, measurement tools of entrepreneurial skills of students and teachers. We have tried to create type of entrepreneurial school in our comprehension. At the end of study session, we have understood that at our school we use methods, which related with entrepreneurial school, but never thought that is it called Enterpreneurship Education, and we need to develop our competences to support our students growth for enterpreneurs.

Lesson Observation of Maria Niinikoski 13.03.2014
Today I have
visited the school Seminaarin koulu, where I attended the lesson of English
teacher of Maria Niinikoski. During the lesson, the teacher closely have
interacted with students. She permanently uses different kind of pedagogical
tools, such individual survey, writing, listening, reading. Using dialogical
method on the lesson, have allowed students to interact with their teacher. The
teacher doesn't use such pedagogical method as group work, I think, because
number of students is very big (approximately 25 students), and she, probably, considers, that this
method not effective for her grade. Opposite, I'd use group work, because this
method helps to develop skills of teamwork, students feel themselves more
comfortable and self-confident. Moreover, they acquire habits of self-dependent
thinking and study. During the learning session, the teacher basically use
traditional methods, as question-response, Listening and, sometimes, game's
elements. The teacher tries to motivate her students by praise and support of all
of students. Theoretical contents of teacher's study materials have been
connected with environment of children. During the lesson the teacher tryed to
ask questions, which related of daily life of children.

Today was else one day with Helena Aarni. During the day we have discussed about using of dialogical method in learning process. Previously, we have exchanged of our experience by topic "How can to be good listener?" Work in small group was helpful for us, because each of us has had opportunity express their opinion and conclusion. Moreover, we have participated in different kind of group works, where we have acquired necessary skills of organising dialogue. At the end of this lesson, we have came to next conclusion - in process of using dialogical methods, every teacher and student should overcomes their preconceptions and prejudice. Lecturer has given feedback us through a evaluation of results of our a group work. During the lessons we closely have interacted with each other.

During this workshop, we were involved in group work, where everybody were able to participate in dialogue and have acquired necessary skills of communication. Lecturer, Helena Aarnio, was able to closely interact with us and we with her. We more have learnt about content of such terms as dialogical collaboration, dialogical competence, dialogical methods. At the end of lesson, we have understood how important dialogical methods in learning. Feedback was conducted as group work. During the workshop, lecturer has realised different kind of tools and activities to reach her goals- to teach us skills of organising of dialogue.

The 7th of March Riitta Matsanen Ph.D. lecturer has conducted seminar-training about "Different Learning concepts", where explained such padagogical terms as socio-constructivist learning, constructive classroom, concstructivism in education. We had participated in Group work and discussed of results of self-assessment. Moreover, Riitta had explained how we have to make our development plan work. Thanks to it we have started this work.

Today we have started
our pedagogical practice. Mr Vesa and headmaster of school of Kauriala Mr Tuotomo Iltanen have conducted their lectures. Mr Iltanen has told us about this school, the structure of teaching at his school. We were interested by his information. He looks like professional teacher and competent manager of education. Mr Vesa has discussed with us our pedagogical practices and told us about particular qualities of teaching at Finnish schools.

The 5th of March 2014 we've visited at the school of Kauriala. During our visiting we have met several Finnish teachers. They have told us about their pedagogical experience. For instance, math teacher Sakari Salonen, has shared his experience of teaching math. We have known that the subject of math shared on two levels: advanced and general. Every students can chose appropriate level for him or her. The information, which gave Mr Salonen, was very useful for math teachers. Moreover, Mr Salonen has showed a new project, which called "Classical geometry in classical ballet". Physics teacher Mr Risto Matveinen has showed "CERN project". Helpful information have received from chemistry teacher Paula Perkkalainen. She has told about books and curriculum, Matriculation examination, Science club, France-project and etc. Finally, Rami Nuoto has showed and told us about using of Flipped classroom.

Today we were in the school of Kauriala again. Headmaster has organised interesting excurtion of the school to familiarize us with the structure of this school. Moreover, assistant of headmaster has given us interesting information about Finnish Matriculation Examination. I've compared examination's system of Finland with system of Kazakhstan and convinced that system of exams of Finland more serious and useful for students. This system has provided students nesessary knowledge and skills before their entering at university. I was attracted the structure of examination's system of Finland, which requires more responsibility of students for developping of their knowledge and skills. However, I was surprised that even students of this school can participate in recruting of new teachers. Our students have their organisation and President, who can attends teacher's meeting. But representatives of students couldn't participate in recruting of new students, because this aspect very impotant for any school of Kazakhstan. It's fact new for me.

Today we have seen lessons of English teacher, her name is Maria Niinikoski. Teacher conducts quality their lessons. On the their lessons, teacher has used modern technology of training, for example possibilities of interactive board, nesessary pedagogical tools as complex and individual interviewed of students, study in pairs, dialogical method, listening etc. During the lessons the teacher closely interacts with their students through different kind of pedagogical tools and methods. The students actively have learnt new topic and interacts with each other. The teacher more has used individual methods of teaching, didn't use method of group's work, because knowledge and skills of students not allowed do it. The teacher has used such materials as handouts, visual aids, CD disk.The teacher tried to motivate their students by praise words. At the end of lessons the teacher gives homework, but not feedback. The teacher doesn't assesses students on every lesson, maybe it's good for students.

About my trip to Stockholm
During the last three days I had a lovely trip to Stockholm for the amazing liner Gabriela. Administration of HAMK university has organised for us seminar, in during which we have showed our skills in representing our presentation. This seminar was conducted as cruise to Stockholm. I'm thank administration of HAMK for this trip because I was able to not only show my skills, but I have had possibility to see foreign country, the sea and a beautiful nature.
